Une aventure surréaliste en Bwlch-y-Sarnau

Deux expositions conjointes de John Welson et John Richardson sont à signaler à l’actif de nos amis gallois. L’une, d’une journée, au Café Glyndwr à Bwlch-y-Sarnau, Radnorshire (Pays de Galles) le 24 septembre 2016, l’autre à la salle des fêtes de Glasbury, également dans le Radnorshire.

Lors de cette dernière, un débat suivi d’un atelier de création de collages est devenu une aventure surréaliste. La discussion qui a porté sur les grandes tendances du mouvement surréaliste dans le monde sous le titre Le Surréalisme est mort – Vive le Surréalisme ! s’est déroulée sous les travaux exposés de John Welson, John Richardson, Guy Ducornet, Rik Lina et Gregg Simpson. A été aussi lancée à cette occasion la publication de Alice the Looking Glass Threw dont les originaux furent exposés. L’idée est de diffuser l’aventure surréaliste dans plusieurs endroits du Pays de Galles.

A Surrealist Adventure in Bwlch-y-Sarnau

One day exhibition in the Glyndwr Cafe, Bwlch-y-Sarnau, Radnorshire, Wales (24 September 2016) and another held at the Village Hall, Glasbury, Radnorshire, Wales. A talk followed by a workshop, creating collages by members of the public, a Surrealist adventure.

An exhibition and talk on contemporary trends in Wold Surrealism title, Surrealism is Dead – Long Live Surrealism, including an exhibition of works by John Welson, John Richardson, Guy Ducornet, Rik Lina and Gregg Simpson. Also including a celebration of the publication Alice, The Looking Glass Threw (with images exhibited that are included in the publication). The concept being that the Surrealist adventure is taken through out Wales to venues in the community.
